As an artist, I like to play with the idea of manipulating shapes or areas of a painting so the colors blend and transfer from one to the next without a quick visual realization. This abstract expressionism derives from my original work with the need to paint and draw animals with a sense of pride and power while simultaneously working them to blend into the abstract background. I begin each painting or drawing with several sections separated from one another but finish them by creating an organic blend or connection.
